Usually, noise-canceling wireless earbuds want to shut out the outside world and immerse you in a vivid soundstage that brings music to life. This is different from Creative’s latest pair of buds.
The Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds still have active noise cancellation (ANC) that works exactly like the technology in the best noise-canceling earbuds on the market to block out outside noises. But when you need to be more aware of your surroundings or want to talk to someone without taking out your headphones, you can use the Sensemore Mode.
The Sensemore Mode is similar to the Ambient Mode that many noise-canceling headphones and earbuds have started to use. But instead of just turning off ANC and turning down your music, Sensemore Mode boosts external sounds to help users hear quieter sounds that they might have missed with a regular Ambient Mode.
If you’re looking for a pair of headphones for your commute, these are what you need. They’ll let you listen to your favorite songs and relax, but they’ll also let you hear what’s going on around you as you ride the train, catch a bus, or walk home.

Besides this useful-looking feature, the Sensmore Air buds look like a pretty typical pair of wireless earbuds. They come with a charging case that can add up to two hours of charge to the buds in 10 minutes and help extend their roughly 10-hour battery life to a max of about 35 hours (though using features like Sensmore Mode and ANC will likely reduce these times).
They’re IPX5 certified, which means they’re sweatproof. This makes them a great partner for your next workout, and they may even be one of the best workout headphones. But if your workout routine includes jumping in the pool, you’ll want to take the Sensemorer Air buds out first.
They also have touch controls that you can change in the Creative app and adjust the equalizer to create a soundstage that you like. But even with the best wireless earbuds, we expect the bass to be a little weak, no matter how much you change it.
This is because the smaller speakers in earbuds often can’t provide the power that’s needed for genuinely chest-pounding music. The Sensemore Air buds cost $79.99 / £64.99 (around AU$130), so you could get a reliable pair for a low price even without one of the upcoming Black Friday deals.
We have yet to have a chance to try the Creative Sensemore Air true wireless earbuds ourselves, so we’d suggest doing a little more research before buying a pair from Creative’s online store. But if you want a good pair of buds that will let you hear what’s happening around you when you need to, these could be a good choice.
