Trailblazing Together: Luke Bryan’s Role as Morgan Wallen’s First Major Tour Mentor
Luke Bryan’s support for Morgan Wallen goes beyond social media and kind words; he played a pivotal role in Wallen’s career by giving him a significant opportunity. Bryan was the first artist to include Wallen on a major tour, specifically his 2018 stadium trek known as the “What Makes You Country Tour.”
Reflecting on that decision, Bryan revealed, “I was the first one, I think, to put him in a stadium environment. I think the years that I had Morgan out… I was doing like 12 or 13 stadiums that year.“

The dynamic duo of Luke Bryan and Morgan Wallen didn’t just share tour stages; they have also graced the same concert platforms numerous times. One notable instance was on July 30, 2021, when Bryan threw a sold-out concert at Bridgestone Area in Nashville.

My manager goes, ‘well, come by.’ But then I was like, ‘well, do you want to get up there [on stage]?’ Morgan came out, and then people went wild, and it was really special to be on the stage, and it was really, really loose and fun,” he added. “I think I had to pay a nice venue fee because I went over the allotted time.”
Their musical synergy extended beyond the stage, as Wallen participated in the Inaugural Brett Boyer Foundation Invitational, an event organized by the Bright For Brett Foundation, where Luke Bryan’s wife, Caroline, serves as a board member.
